I'm a huge fan Rick and Morty. To the point where it may develop into a problem down the road.I lost track of how many times I've watched season one, with and without commentary.
Originally I didn't plan to get the comic. But late-night, red-eyed Amazon browsing changed that decision for me.
Overall, the comic is good. Definitely recommended for big fans of the show.
But it needs work.
Pros:
The illustrations are great.
Characters are in-tune with the show's personalities.
Some dialogue reads like the show.
Cool short story at the end that follows Summer.
Shout-outs to characters from the show.
Cons:
The dialogue frequently feels off. Sometimes it feels forced or lazy. Rick says "Dog" way too much. More than he does in the show.
Similarly, there are pieces that hint at content missing as "a joke," but that doesn't really fly in a comic. You want to see and read something in a comic. It's not like the show where a quick clip (i.e: the background restaurants/shops in "Anatomy Park") is funny. Basically, that humor didn't translate well into the comic world.
I'll end up getting the next issue. Problems aside, this is the first one and it wasn't going to be perfect. That's like expecting a pilot episode to be perfect. I can see great things coming from the comics. Or mediocre. Time will tell.

Rick and Morty Zac Gorman 9781785859793 Books Reviews
Haven't read a comic in a long time but Season 3 is taking too long to come out! The comic is like a bonus episode, pretty cool how it scrolls from frame to frame while reading. If you like Rick and Morty and haven't read a comic in a while it's definitely worth a couple bucks (e-version). Lub-a-lub-a-dub-dub #$%&es!!!!
Enjoyed. Not bored. Very entertaining. Love the TV series now the graphic novels. The excentricity continues and the adventures are unpredictable.
When I am all alone with my plumbus, oiling the chumbles to keep them moist, I enjoy reading Rick and Morty graphic periodicals. Each installment is worth at least 200 flerbos. Purchase yours today.
It’s rick and morty if you like the show you’ll love the comics
I love the comics! They read exactly like an episode of the show. If you love Rick & Morty, you will definitely love the comics. Reading the comics is like watching a secret episode of the show you missed.
I was skeptical. Most comic book adaptations don't deliver. And I'll be honest, there's some weird quirks to the first two pages of this comic, and I was about to put it down. Then the next panel directly addressed those quirks in the best, Rickiest and Mortiest way possible. Will read the entire series.
Also consider that both Justin Rolland and Dan Harmon both talked about the comic at NYCC and loved it, saying they wish the show was able to be more like the comic book.
